High efficiency DC-DC LED Driver in 300mA up to 1.200mA Versions
(May 2016) The product portfolio of GAPTEC Electronic has been enlarged by adding new high efficient DC-DC LED Drivers with an ultra-wide
input range from 5.5V up to 48V. Those LED Drivers come in different versions:
- LEDD10-Series: up to 700mA (through hole versions in a DIP case)
- LEDD24-Series: up to 1200mA (through hole versions in a DIP-case)
- LEDW10-Series: up to 700mA (lead wired versions in a DIP case)
- LEDT16-Series: up to 700mA (in SMT)
The efficiency of the LED Drivers is up to 96%. The output mode is constant current. All the drivers are continuous short circuit
protected (SCP), feature a remote ON/OFF function and match the IP67 level standard and therefore are certified as waterproof.
All series offer a built-in EMI filter (according to EN55015 standard) as well as PWM and analog dimming. Moreover the drivers

Regulated 5 & 10 Watts DC/DC converters for use in photovoltaic systems

(2014-03) GAPTEC Electronic presents its new 1 watt SMD series for use in the automotive sector: 1T8A_3.5P. This SMD series meets the TS16949 automotive standard and also the AEC-Q100 standard. The 1T8A_3.5P series offers a high isolation resistance of up to 3.500VDC and is also working with a very high temperature resistance from -50°C to +125°C and without derating up to +105°C. The LC78 is a so-called "drop-in" switching regulator which is pin-compatible with the classical LM78 linear regulator and makes a heat sink unnecessary. Therefore the use of the LC78 provides a lot of space on the PCB board. (2012-02-14) GAPTEC Electronic presents the first non-isolated 2A switching regulator in a SIP3 design as an alternative to the standard linear regulator in a TO-220 package. Like the other regulators of the LMS series, the LMS78-2.0 belongs to the family of so-called "drop-in" switching regulator. These are pin-compatible with the standard LM78 linear regulator case, they make a heat sink unnecessary and thus gives the user a lot of space on the board. The regulators offer 5mA quiescent current consumption, they are continuous short circuit protected and include typical 25mV pp ripple and noise at 20MHz bandwidth. The temperature range is -40°C to +85°C (without derating to 71°C). Input voltage range: 4.75 to 18 VDC. The converter has output voltages of 1,5 to 6.5 VDC and provides a high efficiency of up to 92%. As an additional option GAPTEC offers this switching regulator with legs bent and guarantees very short delivery times. The product warranty is 3 years.

(2012-01-19) GAPTEC Electronic launches its new, non-insulated 0.5A SMD switching regulators with wide input voltage range (4.5V~28V). When in use the LMT78 does not require a heat sink and thus need less space on the PCB. The SMD switching regulator comes with an adjustable output voltage and includes a remote ON/OFF control. The series offers a MTBF of > 2 million hours and offer extremely high efficiency up to 96%. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. The LMT78 series offers great short circuit protection and low ripple and noise (typically 10mVp-p at 20MHz bandwidth) and are ideally supply for space constrained mobile applications. At an order quantity of 1000 units, the price per unit (that applies as well for the through hole LMS78 series) is USD 2.49.
1 W DC-DC converter with ultra-flat housing
(2011-11-21) GAPTEC Electronic presents its new, ultra-flat 1T14A & 1D14A converter series, measuring only 4.5mm in height. These DC-DC converters are pin-out compatible with the Burr Brown DCP01 converter. The devices of the 1T_D14A series are available with SMT14 housing or as fully wired DIP14 type units. Specifications: Regulated and unregulated Operating temperature range -40°C to +71°C or +85°C respectively (without derating). The converters are short circuit protected and come with 1,5kVDC or 3kVDC insulation. MTBF: > 3,500,000 hours. These DC-DC converters can be operated without the need of additional external components. Gaptec Electronic offers a 3-year warranty for all products of these series.
