The new 2S10B1_7UP series is a 2 Watt isolated, unregulated DC/DC converter housed in a compact SIP10 package, engineered for applications with stringent requirements on patient safety, isolation strength, and long-term reliability. With a fixed 12 VDC input and output voltages of 5 V or 12 V, the series reliably serves typical supply tasks on 12 V industrial and medical buses.

The standout feature of the series is its reinforced isolation of 7,000 VDC between input and output, together with a full-load impulse withstand voltage of 8 kV — characteristics that securely protect patient-side supplies and industrial high-voltage isolation tasks. Despite these high isolation figures, the series achieves an exceptionally low isolation capacitance of just 7 pF, significantly reducing common-mode noise in the system.

Designed for outstanding reliability, the 2S10B1_7UP series achieves an impressive MTBF of 3,500,000 hours (MIL-HDBK-217F @ 25 °C). It operates stably across an extended temperature range from -40 °C to +105 °C (with derating from 71 °C) and is equipped with continuous, self-recovering short-circuit protection. Efficiency reaches up to 84 % at full load, with typical ripple & noise of 50 mVp-p.

Operating at a switching frequency of 260 kHz, with EMC compliance per CISPR32/EN 55032 Class B and high ESD immunity (air ±8 kV, contact ±6 kV), the series provides a stable, clean supply for sensitive downstream electronics. The flame-retardant black plastic case is certified to UL94 V-0.

In medical equipment, the 2S10B1_7UP series is particularly well suited for patient-side signal supplies in ECG, EEG, and EMG devices, for the front-end electronics of SpO₂ and non-invasive blood-pressure measurement, and for portable point-of-care diagnostic devices. Beyond medical, it reliably serves isolated signal supplies in industrial bus and sensor interfaces as well as in measurement and test equipment — wherever high isolation, low coupling capacitance, and a compact form factor are required simultaneously.

The new 2S12B_10RP series is a 2 Watt isolated, regulated DC-DC converter developed specifically for applications with the highest isolation requirements. Housed in a SIP12 package measuring 33.0 x 10.5 x 15.5 mm, the series provides an outstanding isolation voltage of 10,000 VDC between input and output — a value far beyond typical standard requirements that opens up new design freedom for safety-critical and high-voltage-adjacent circuits.

With an efficiency of up to 90 % at full load and a low ripple & noise of typically 50 mVp-p (20 MHz bandwidth), the 2S12B_10RP delivers a stable and clean supply for sensitive downstream assemblies. The series is available across a broad range of voltage variants: 5 V, 12 V, or 24 V input and output voltages of 5, 9, 12, or 15 VDC. This is complemented by precise load regulation (±0.5 % typical from no load to full load) and a temperature coefficient of only ±0.02 %/°C.

Designed for reliable continuous operation, the series operates stably across a temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C (with derating from 85 °C) and is equipped with self-recovering short-circuit protection in hiccup mode. The typical isolation capacitance of 60 pF reduces capacitive coupling and is a key factor in designs with galvanically isolated measurement paths or patient circuits. The converter follows the international standard pin-out and is housed in a non-conductive, flame-retardant black plastic case. The series is fully RoHS-compliant.

In medical equipment, the 2S12B_10RP series is particularly well suited for defibrillators, electrosurgery and HF-surgery generators, and for the control and measurement electronics in X-ray systems. Beyond medical, the series is a proven solution for industrial instrumentation with high common-mode levels, high-voltage measurement systems, and test & measurement equipment — wherever outstanding isolation is required in a compact form factor.

With the new 10DPMW4_6R series (10 Watt) and 20DBMW4_6 series (20 Watt), GAPTEC Electronic is expanding its portfolio with two fully isolated, regulated DC-DC converters in a robust DIP package — tailored to the requirements of industrial, medical, and communications applications where safety, efficiency, and protection features are equally critical.

Both series cover a wide input voltage range with a 4:1 ratio and are available in 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V input versions (10 W: 12/24/48 V; 20 W: 24/48 V). Output voltages include 5, 12, and 15 V as single-output variants, as well as ±5, ±12, and ±15 V as dual-output variants — with efficiencies of up to 89 % (10 W) and 90 % (20 W).

The series provide an isolation voltage of 5,000 VAC and reinforced isolation for a working voltage of 250 Vrms — a design that securely addresses typical medical and industrial safety requirements, including those of IEC/EN/UL 62368-1. The low isolation capacitance of 17 pF reduces common-mode coupling and therefore relaxes the EMC requirements at the system level.

A comprehensive integrated protection concept safeguards the system even under fault conditions: overvoltage protection (OVP), overload protection (OCP), short-circuit protection with hiccup behaviour and automatic recovery (SCP), and undervoltage protection (UVP); the 20DBMW4_6 series additionally provides overtemperature protection (OTP). A remote on/off input and a trim function (±10 % output voltage) enable flexible system integration. Both series operate across an extended temperature range from -40 °C to +100 °C, meet EN 55032 without external components (Criterion A), and offer high immunity (ESD air ±15 kV, contact ±8 kV).

In medical equipment, the series are particularly well suited for patient monitors (multi-parameter and telemetry), for ventilators and anaesthesia workstations, and for infusion and syringe pumps; further typical fields include dialysis machines and imaging systems. Beyond medical, they address industrial control and automation systems, telecommunications and network infrastructure, and distributed power architectures.

GAPTEC Electronic introduces the new 40DMW4_1.5Rseries

40 W DC-DC converter with 4:1 ultra-wide input range and 1.5 kVDC isolation in a DIP package

The new 40DMW4_1.5R series is an isolated, regulated DC/DC converter with 40 W output power,
developed for demanding industrial applications that require a wide input voltage range, galvanic isolation and high reliability in equal measure. With its 4:1 ultra-wide input, the series reliably covers two nominal voltage ranges: 9–36 VDC (24 V nominal) and 18–75 VDC (48 V nominal). The single-output versions are available with regulated output voltages of 3.3 / 5 / 12 / 15 / 24 and 28 VDC.

With an efficiency of up to 92 % at full load, the series minimises power dissipation and operates entirely on free-air convection cooling — no external heat sink is required. The rugged aluminium-alloy case measures a compact 25.4 x 25.4 x 12.0 mm on the standard DIP grid (2.54 mm) and weighs only 21 g. The six-pin layout (GND, Vin, +Vo, Trim, –Vo, Ctrl), with trim function (±10 %) and remote on/off input (Ctrl), noticeably simplifies integration.

For use in harsh environments, the 40DMW4_1.5R series is rated for an extended temperature range of –40 to +105 °C (with derating). A comprehensive protection concept — input under-voltage protection, continuous short-circuit protection with automatic recovery, over-voltage protection (110–140 %) and over-current protection (110–140 %) — reliably safeguards the downstream system even in the event of a fault. The galvanic isolation of 1,500 VDC between input and output ensures a high level of operational safety; the MTBF of 1,000,000 hours (MIL-HDBK-217F @ 25 °C) underlines the long-term reliability of the series.

With a typical switching frequency of 330 kHz, a PI input filter and a ripple & noise of typ. 100 mVp-p, the
series delivers a clean, stable supply for the downstream electronics. The modules comply with the EMC
requirements of EN 55032 / FCC Part 15 Class B (CE & RE) as well as extensive immunity requirements —
including ESD ±8 kV (air) and ±6 kV (contact) per EN 61000-4-2, EFT/burst ±2 kV (EN 61000-4-4) and surge ±1 kV (EN 61000-4-5).

40DMW4_1.5R series is ideally suited to industrial automation, railway and transportation technology,

GAPTEC Electronic introduces the new LMTO78 series

High-efficiency non-isolated SMT switching regulator — up to 95 % efficiency in ultra-thin and open-frame variants

The new LMTO78 series is a non-isolated, high-efficiency DC/DC switching regulator in an SMT package,
developed for modern, energy-efficient electronic assemblies where efficiency, reliability, and compactness are equally critical. The series is available in two mechanical variants: the LMTO78_0.5R in an ultra-thin SMT housing of just 3.5 mm height (12.50 x 13.50 x 3.50 mm) and the LMTO78_0.5R1 in an open-frame design (12 x 12 x 4.5 mm). Both variants deliver 500 mA output current and are available across a broad output-voltage range from 3.3 to 15 VDC

With an efficiency of up to 95 % at full load, the LMTO78 series minimises power dissipation and operates
entirely without external heatsinks — a decisive advantage for densely populated PCBs and compact
enclosures. The no-load input current is as low as 0.2 mA, further reducing energy consumption in stand-by. Depending on the output version, the input voltage range extends from 4.75 to 36 VDC, reliably covering standard 24 V industrial buses with wide voltage-tolerance bands.

Engineered for outstanding reliability, the LMTO78 series achieves an impressive MTBF of 2,000,000 hours
(MIL-HDBK-217F @ 25 °C) and operates stably across a temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C (with derating from 71 °C). The integrated continuous short-circuit protection with automatic recovery safeguards the system even under fault conditions. The LMTO78_0.5R additionally features a remote on/off input (Ctrl) and meets MSL Level 1 for unlimited floor life under standard conditions.

Both variants comply with CISPR32/EN 55032 Class B (using the recommended external circuit) and meet the relevant immunity requirements, including ESD up to ±4 kV (contact) and surge up to ±1 kV. With a switching frequency of 500 kHz (LMTO78_0.5R) and 1.2 MHz (LMTO78_0.5R1), the series can be flexibly tailored to different filter-design and component-size requirements. The LMTO78 series is fully RoHS-compliant, underlining GAPTEC’s commitment to environmentally friendly and high-quality power-supply solutions
