New 1 Watt SMD DC/DC converter series meets AEC-Q100 standard and TS16949

GAPTEC Electronic presents its new 1 watt SMD series for use in the automotive sector: 1T8A_3.5P. This SMD series meets the TS16949 automotive standard and also the AEC-Q100 standard. The 1T8A_3.5P series offers a high isolation resistance of up to 3.500VDC and is also working with a very high temperature resistance from -50°C to +125°C and without derating up to +105°C. The DC/DC converters are continuous short circuit protected (SCP) and offer a long service life of > 3.5 million hours MTBF. The housing material is made of refractory Epoxy (UL94 -VO), and upon request, the components of this series are supplied in tape and reel for automatic insertion machines. The 1T8A_3.5P series also meets RoHS6/6 standard and further offers optimal coplanarity, which guarantees a reliable and trouble-free soldering during the assembly process. GAPTEC Electronic offers customers short delivery times and a 3-year warranty on the converter of this series.

1, 2 and 3 Watt DC/DC Converters in SIP7 package with wide input voltage range

GAPTEC Electronic presents a WORLD EXCLUSIVE at Electronica: The new xS7W series. A new and innovative DC/DC converter in a SIP7 package (19.6 x 7 x 10.2 mm) with standard footprint and wide input voltage range (9-18VDC, 18-36VDC and 36-75VDC). This series offers design engineers 1, 2 and 3 Watt converters with high power density. All versions are available in single and dual output mode. They come with regulated output voltages from 3.3VDC to 15VDC. Another circuit is not necessary. The converters are Short Circuit Protection (SCP) and offer an optional additional 3kVDC to the standard insulation rating of 1kVDC. The high efficiency of the xS7W series is up to 86%. The temperature range (without derating) varies in the series between -40°C to 100°C (1 watt series) and -40°C to 71°C (3 Watt Series). GAPTEC Electronic offers customers short lead times and a 3-year warranty on the parts of this series.

20 Watt DC/DC Power in a 1″ x 1″ miniature case

GAPTEC Electronic presents the newly introduced 20DMW4 series, a high power DC/DC Converter with 20 watts of power in a 1″ x 1″ package size, for applications that are depending on power density and require space-saving. This series features a wide 4:1 input voltage range (9-36VDC and 18-75VDC), single-and dual-output voltages and provides permanent short circuit protection. Another feature of this new series is an already built-in remote on/off switching pin. The converters of the 20DMW4 series are providing an optimal working temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C (with derating) and high efficiency of up to 90%. In addition, this 20-watt series is offering a 6-shielded metal housing, which is also available with an optional heat sink. A low ripple & noise from 80mVp-p and an industry-standard footprint ensure optimal use of opportunities.

Innovative SIP8 DC/DC converter with high power density up to 6 Watts

GAPTEC Electronic presents the new 6S8W series, a highly innovative DC/DC converter with up to 6 watts of power in an ultracompact SIP8 housing for applications which require literally millimeter-space-saving. The series features a wide 2:1 input voltage range and provides permanent short circuit protection. Another feature of this new series is an already included on / off switching pin. The 6S8W series offers an optimal operating temperature range of -40 ° C to +85 ° C (+60 ° C with derating). Noteworthy is the exceptionally absolute high output voltage accuracy with an excellent efficiency of up to 86%. In addition, the series offers 3kVDC isolation (1.5 kVAC/60Hz) and the choice between single or dual outputs. The 6S8W series are encapsulated SIP8 converters, which are constructed in SMD design and are ideal for the use in industrial automation and communications technology.

1 Watt DC/DC converter in SIP7 case with 6-fold lower isolation capacitance

GAPTEC Electronic presents its new DC/DC converter 1S7E series. This converter offers an SMT molded UL-94 V0 plastic case and typical 6pF isolation capacitance (6-fold lower isolation capacitance in comparison with available standard types). The series provides continuous short circuit protection (SCP). The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +85°C (without derating). The 1S7E series provides two different isolation voltages: 3kVDC isolation or 1kVDC (each tested for 1 Minute/1mA), a standard pin-out and standard output voltages (3.3, 5, 12, 15 and 24 VDC). The converters are unregulated and are available with single or dual output. GAPTEC Electronic offers short lead times and offers its customers 3 year product warranty.
