GAPTEC Electronic launches its new, non-insulated 0.5A SMD switching regulators with wide input voltage range (4.5V~28V). When in use the LMT78 does not require a heat sink and thus need less space on the PCB. The SMD switching regulator comes with an adjustable output voltage and includes a remote ON/OFF control. The series offers a MTBF of > 2 million hours and offer extremely high efficiency up to 96%. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. The LMT78 series offers great short circuit protection and low ripple and noise (typically 10mVp-p at 20MHz bandwidth) and are ideally supply for space constrained mobile applications. At an order quantity of 1000 units, the price per unit (that applies as well for the through hole LMS78 series) is USD 2.49.

Die SMD-Schaltregler verfügen über eine einstellbare Ausgangsspannung, haben eine MTBF von > 2 Mio. Stunden, einen extrem hohen Wirkungsgrad von bis zu 96% und eine Remote ON/OFF-Steuerung. Der Temperatureinsatzbereich reicht von -40°C bis +85°C. Die LMT78-Serie zeichnet sich durch Kurzschlussfestigkeit und extrem niedrigem Ripple & Noise (typ. 10mVp-p bei 20MHz Bandbreite) aus. GAPTEC Electronic presents its new, ultra-flat 1T14A & 1D14A converter series, measuring only 4.5mm in height. These DC-DC converters are pin-out compatible with the Burr Brown DCP01 converter. The devices of the 1T_D14A series are available with SMT14 housing or as fully wired DIP14 type units. Specifications: Regulated and unregulated Operating temperature range -40°C to +71°C or +85°C respectively (without derating). The converters are short circuit protected and come with 1,5kVDC or 3kVDC insulation. MTBF: > 3,500,000 hours. These DC-DC converters can be operated without the need of additional external components. Gaptec Electronic offers a 3-year warranty for all products of these series.

These drop-in switching regulators are size and pin- out compatible with the LM78 linear regulators. In contrast to the LM78, they do not require a heat sink and thus need less space on the PCB. The regulators can be switched for positive or negative output voltage, have a MTBF of > 2 million hours and offer extremely high efficiency up to 96%. Their operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. The LMS78 series offers great short circuit protection and low ripple and noise (typically 25mVp-p at 20MHz bandwidth). The no-load current is max. mA. The LMS78 switching regulators provide a great alternative to most standard switching regulators from other manufacturers.
